At ConstructConnect, I served as the VP of Experience Design & Research, leading the design of a unified product suite that connected General Contractors, Subcontractors, and Building Product Manufacturers. Our goal was to provide actionable project data through an intuitive platform, driving collaboration and efficiency across workflows. I championed a user-centered design approach focused on continuous discovery, iterative design, and research-driven decision-making, while also empowering a team of managers, researchers, designers, and content specialists. We developed processes for both the Voice of the Organization and the Voice of the Customer, implemented atomic design standards aligned with brand compliance and AA accessibility, and established taxonomies and ecosystem standards to enable rapid, cohesive decision-making.

Creating experience maps, customer journeys, and task flows is a primary method our team uses to tackle challenges and facilitate cross-functional communication.

We conduct ongoing discovery, using personas as a foundation for empathy while acknowledging their limitations. These personas serve as tools for product development, onboarding new employees, and enhancing engagement for our customer support and sales teams.

A comprehensive design system has accelerated our workflow and fostered efficiency, allowing our design team to work swiftly and consistently across the entire product ecosystem.

Rapid Design Iterations

Workshop facilitation is essential for rapid iteration, team inclusion, and alignment. Activities like service blueprinting, sketching, and storyboarding quickly transition into user flows, wireframes, and prototypes, which are rigorously evaluated with customers to ensure alignment and satisfaction.

Final Designs

High-fidelity prototypes undergo rigorous testing with customers to ensure they meet user expectations. They support the handoff to development in our agile environment, providing clear guidance and expediting the time to market for new features and updates.

Measuring Success

Collaborating with product partners, my team used metrics like MAU, DAU, funnels, success rate, time on task, and NPS to gauge success and user satisfaction.
