There was nothing planned about this photograph. I spotted this beautiful blue butterfly resting among the leaves in our vegetable garden and stopped to capture the moment. Its almost electric color against the surrounding green was impossible to miss—a small reminder that some of the most beautiful things are found when we simply take the time to notice.

The original photograph captured the butterfly exactly as I found it. In transforming the image, I wanted to amplify what first caught my attention—the extraordinary blues of its wings and the lush greens surrounding it.
