Purple in the Garden

Botanical Garden

A familiar garden bloom transformed through layered purple color and painterly warmth.

Sometimes you don’t have to go far to get away.

A quiet morning on Lake Allatoona transformed into an expressive study of stillness, reflection, and the restorative feeling of being on the water.

The Original Moment

Purple in the Garden began with an African daisy growing in my backyard garden in Georgia. I was drawn to the layered purple petals and the way a single bloom could command attention among everything growing around it.

From Photograph to Art

The finished artwork keeps the flower recognizable while using painterly color and softened detail to emphasize the purple petals, natural form, and simple pleasure of noticing one beautiful bloom in the garden.
